Design Process

I am known to adapt well to multiple design process's. This tends to range based off of client, budget and project. In an ideal world, it’s extremely useful in tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown, by understanding the human needs involved, by re-framing the problem in human-centric ways, by creating many ideas in brainstorming sessions, and by adopting a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing. Understanding these stages will empower anyone to apply the methods in order to solve complex problems that occur around us.

Discover

Discover phase or initial research is a process that takes place before kicking off project development. It is focused on identifying your target audience, their problems, and needs. In the discovery phase, you test your idea against the reality of solving problems and meeting expectations of the users.

Define

The second stage in a typical Design process is called the Define phase. It involves collating data from the observation stage (first stage called Empathise) to define the design problems and challenges.

Design

When users’ wants, needs, and expectations from a product are clear, product designers move to the design phase. At this step, product teams work on various activities, from creating IA to the actual UI design. An effective design phase is both highly collaborative and iterative.

04

Test

Validation is essential because it helps teams understand whether their design works for their users. This phase starts after the high-fidelity design is ready, this provides more valuable feedback from end-users. During these sessions, the team validates the product with both stakeholders and end-users.

DeLIVER

The deliver phase occurs when all the user insights and mockups are now turned into a working solution through software development and configuration. The key to the success of the Deliver phase starts even before the handoff occurs.
